Member Guidelines
Matchmakers Elite app · Last updated October 20, 2026
Why we have guidelines
Matchmakers Elite works because members trust us, and trust each other, enough to meet. These guidelines say what we ask of everyone, alongside the membership agreement you signed with us.
Be who you say you are
Be 18 or over, single and genuinely looking for a relationship.
Tell the truth in your application, your questionnaire and your conversations with your matchmaker — your age, your relationship status, whether you have children, what you are looking for.
Use recent photos that clearly show you, and only you. No photos of other people, no heavy filters, nothing that would surprise someone meeting you in person.
Tell your matchmaker if something changes — you start seeing someone, you move, you need a break. Your matchmaker updates your profile for you.
Photos and voice
No nudity, sexual content, or photos of children on their own. No photos or recordings that show violence, weapons, drugs or anything illegal.
Keep your voice introduction and voice messages about you. Do not include other people’s personal details.
Respect the people you are introduced to
What you see in an introduction is shared with you in confidence. Do not screenshot, share or post it, and do not use it to find or contact the person outside the service.
A decline is a normal part of matchmaking. Do not ask your matchmaker who declined or why, and do not try to find out another way.
Be on time for dates you agree to. If you cannot make it, tell your matchmaker as early as you can.
Consent and safety on a date
Consent matters at every stage. Agreeing to a date is not agreeing to anything else. Respect a “no”, a hesitation, or someone wanting to leave.
Meet in the public place your matchmaker arranged and arrange your own transportation. Tell a friend where you will be. Do not pressure anyone to move somewhere private, to drink, or to share their address or contact details.
Do not ask for or offer money, gifts, investments or loans. If someone asks you for money, tell your matchmaker.
We do not currently conduct criminal background screenings of our members, and none are done through the app. Our team does check members in person as part of joining, as described in your membership agreement. We plan to add criminal background screenings in the future; we will update these guidelines and tell you before they apply to you.
No harassment
No harassment, threats, stalking, intimidation, hate speech or discrimination — towards other members or towards our team.
If someone does not want further contact after a date, do not contact them. Your matchmaker will pass on anything that needs passing on.
Be courteous in your messages to your matchmaker. Our team can end a conversation that becomes abusive.
Keep it personal and lawful
Matchmakers Elite is for finding a partner. Do not use it to sell, recruit, promote a business, ask for money or offer paid companionship.
Do not try to get around how the app works — for example by trying to see other members’ information, sharing your account, or using automated tools.
Tell us about concerns
If anything about an introduction, a date or another member worries you, tell your matchmaker in the app, or write to anna@matchmakerselite.com. After a date, the feedback form also asks whether anything felt unsafe; that answer goes only to our team.
We take every concern seriously, treat it in confidence, and will not tell the other person who raised it without your agreement unless the law requires us to. If you are in danger, call 911 first.
What ends a membership
We may pause or end a membership, sometimes immediately, for: violence, threats, sexual misconduct or any behavior that puts someone at risk; harassment; being in a relationship or married while presenting as single; false identity, age or photos; sharing another member’s information; asking members for money; or repeatedly missing dates without notice.
Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why. If we end a membership, your membership agreement explains what happens to your fees.
