Who we are

This policy explains how Matchmakers Elite LLC, of 17W635 Butterfield Rd, Suite 318, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 (“we”, “us”), handles personal information when you apply for or use our matchmaking service, the Matchmakers Elite app (iOS, Android and web) and our website. We serve members in the United States.

Questions about privacy: anna@matchmakerselite.com.

The short version

Your profile is private. There are no public profiles and members cannot search for or browse each other.

Our matchmaking team sees your information so they can find and introduce people to you. When your matchmaker introduces you to someone, that person sees a fixed set of your profile: your photos, first name, age, city and height, your bio and voice introduction if you have one, your key details (work, studies, relationship status, children, religion, smoking, drinking, exercise and what you are looking for), the three profile prompts you chose, and what the two of you have in common. Your questionnaire answers are never shown to other members, except as “what you have in common” statements drawn from answers you both gave (for example “You both recharge on your own”); your date feedback, your answers marked for your matchmaker and our internal notes never are.

To find you a match, your matchmaker may also share your profile privately with other professional matchmaking companies we work with. That shared profile leaves out your contact details and surname.

We do not sell your information, we do not show advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

You can download a copy of your data and delete your account from Settings in the app at any time.

What we collect

Account details: your email address, the one-time codes you use to sign in, your member ID, and sign-in sessions.

Application and profile: your name, date of birth, gender, who you are interested in, the city you live in, height and other basics, relationship history, children, living arrangements, work and education, religion, lifestyle (such as smoking, drinking and exercise), what you are looking for, your interests, and notes you write for your matchmaker. Some answers are for your matchmaking team rather than your member-facing profile — for example your phone number, income band, custody arrangements, political views and whether you are free of addiction. The partner-sharing section below explains which profile and questionnaire information may be shared with other professional matchmaking companies.

Photos and voice: the photos you upload, and your voice introduction if you recorded one.

Questionnaire: your answers to our compatibility questionnaire, and the personality and compatibility scores we calculate from them.

Introductions and dates: the introductions presented to you and what you were shown, your private accept or decline responses, the times you say you are free, the dates arranged for you, your feedback after each date (including whether anything felt unsafe), and what you would like to happen next.

Messages with your matchmaker: the text and voice messages you exchange with your matchmaker in the app.

What our team records: notes from your intake conversation and later conversations, safety reports, membership and contract status, and a record of actions taken on your account.

Payment records: whether and when your membership was paid and activated. We do not take payments in the app; membership payments are made under your membership agreement, outside the app, and the app holds no card or bank details.

Device and usage information: your notification token (so we can send you notifications), your notification preferences, when you were last active, your app or web version, and — for security — the IP address and browser or device details recorded with sign-ins and account changes.

Location: the city you choose. If you allow it, the app uses your phone’s location once during your application to suggest your city; Apple or Google location and mapping services process your position to suggest a city. Your exact position is not sent to the Matchmakers Elite backend; we store the city you select. Mapping services may also process device identifiers, map interactions and diagnostic information to provide and maintain their services. We use your city to work out distances for matchmaking. We do not track your location.

Photo checks: profile photos and any selfie you choose to upload are stored privately. Automated photo screening and selfie comparison are currently paused during testing. No selfie or profile photo is currently sent to an external verification provider. A selfie is never shown to other members. Contact your matchmaker if you need a manual verification or want an uploaded selfie removed.

Calendar: if you tap “Add to calendar” on a date, the app adds that date to your phone’s calendar. We do not read your calendar and nothing from it is sent to us.

Sensitive information

Some of what you tell us is sensitive: your sexual orientation (who you are interested in), religious beliefs, political views, information about your health or addiction, and any information you choose to provide for a photo check. Automated face comparison is currently paused. We collect the information you provide for matchmaking, and we use it only for that. You can ask us to stop using it at any time by telling your matchmaker or writing to anna@matchmakerselite.com; that may limit the matches we can find for you.

Face comparison (biometric information)

Comparing a selfie with profile photos can involve biometric information, such as the geometry of a face. Automated comparison is currently paused; any future comparison would be explained before you agree to it.

We ask for your written agreement first, on the selfie screen in the app, and record when you agreed and to which wording. Without it, no check is made.

Automated face comparison is not currently running. Before enabling it, we will explain the provider, the information sent, the purpose and the applicable retention period, and ask for your agreement. We do not sell, lease or trade biometric information or profit from it.

We do not currently generate or keep face templates. Uploaded selfies remain in private storage while automated processing and cleanup are paused. Contact anna@matchmakerselite.com to request removal; a three-day automatic deletion period is not currently operating.

How we use it

To provide the matchmaking service you signed up for — assessing your application, finding and presenting introductions, arranging dates, following up, and messaging with your matchmaker.

To match you. Software helps your matchmaker by checking hard requirements (age, distance, the preferences you gave us, people you should not be introduced to) and comparing questionnaire answers. It produces a suggestion list only our team sees. A person always decides who to introduce; no decision about you is made by software alone.

To keep members safe and the service honest — reviewing concerns and safety reports, preventing fraud and abuse, and securing accounts. Automated background photo checks are currently paused.

To send sign-in codes and communications you request. Scheduled notifications about introductions, dates and messages are currently paused. We also send marketing emails — news, events and offers from Matchmakers Elite — to the email address you gave us. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask your matchmaker or write to anna@matchmakerselite.com to stop them; unsubscribing does not stop the emails about your introductions, dates and messages.

To run our business — membership records, accounting, handling complaints and legal claims, and meeting legal and tax obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not use your date feedback or questionnaire answers for anything other than matchmaking for you and improving how we match.

AI-assisted suggestions

AI-assisted introduction notes and date suggestions are currently disabled. Your matchmaking team prepares introductions and date plans. If we enable an external AI provider, we will update this policy to describe the actual processing before it starts.

No information is currently sent to DeepSeek for introduction notes or date suggestions.

Who can see your information

Your matchmaker and the members of our team who need it to provide the service. Access is limited to people with a role that requires it, and staff actions are logged.

Your conversation with your matchmaker is seen by your matchmaker and, when needed, by our administrators, who may reply on your matchmaker’s behalf. Replies always appear from your matchmaker; we record who actually wrote them. Messages created automatically by an action you or staff take may also appear in your matchmaker’s name. Scheduled availability and feedback reminders are currently paused.

A member you are introduced to sees the introduction described above: your photos (up to six), first name, age, city, height, bio, voice introduction if you have one, key details, the three profile prompts you chose, what the two of you have in common and a note from your matchmaker. They never see your questionnaire answers themselves (only the shared “what you have in common” statements), your response until both of you have answered, your feedback, your answers marked for your matchmaker, or our notes. If they ask your matchmaker to pass on a kind word, your matchmaker may edit it before sending it to you, and never passes on contact details.

Partner matchmaking companies: to find you a match, your matchmaker may share your profile with other professional matchmaking companies we work with. Who we work with changes over time; you can ask your matchmaker which companies your profile has been shared with. The shared profile includes your photos, first name, age, city, bio, work, interests, profile prompts, key details and preferences, and your application and questionnaire answers — including some sensitive ones, such as religion, political views, income band and custody arrangements, and the notes you wrote for your matchmaker. It never includes your email address, phone number, surname, exact date of birth or exact location, our internal notes, your date feedback or safety records. It is shared through a private link that works for no more than 7 days and that we can switch off at any time, and as a downloadable PDF; a copy someone has already downloaded cannot be recalled. Those companies may use it only to look for a match for you, and must keep it confidential.

Restaurants: when your matchmaker books a table for a date, the restaurant receives the name the table is booked under, the party size and the time.

Nobody else, except as described under Service providers. You do not appear in any search, feed or public page.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers who process information on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it and to use it only on our instructions:

Hosting and databases: Hetzner, in the United States. Private file storage: Cloudflare R2. Email delivery, including sign-in codes: Resend. Native push credentials are configured through Expo, Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging; scheduled notification delivery is currently paused. Android maps use Google Maps. Automated selfie verification, AI-assisted suggestions, server-side venue search and weather lookup are not currently enabled. Browser push is not currently configured.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, to establish or defend legal claims, or with a buyer if our business is sold (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

While you are a member we keep your information for as long as it is needed for the service.

If you delete your account in the app, the account and associated application records are removed from the live database according to the account-deletion process. This includes your profile, questionnaire and application answers, availability, introductions, dates, feedback and your copy of messages. Stored photo and voice files require separate cleanup; automatic storage cleanup is currently paused, so contact anna@matchmakerselite.com for removal of retained files. Deleting an account also removes its introductions and dates from the other member’s view. Scheduled notifications about these changes are currently paused.

Some records remain after account deletion, including the matchmaker’s copy of conversations, staff notes, audit records and notification records, and membership, contract and payment records held for the service. Deletion requests for retained records are handled manually; fixed automatic retention periods are not currently operating. Contact anna@matchmakerselite.com about retained records and deletion requests. Account deletion does not immediately remove these retained records.

Database backups are currently made daily. Backups are retained until manually removed; automatic thirty-day expiration is not configured. Deleting an account from the live database does not immediately erase its earlier backups. Access to backups is restricted.

If you pause your account, we keep your information so you can come back; your introductions are closed. Automatic deletion after two years of inactivity and the related thirty-day email notice are not currently enabled. You can request account deletion at any time.

Unsuccessful applications remain stored until they are manually reviewed or deleted. Automatic one-year deletion is not currently enabled. You can request deletion by contacting anna@matchmakerselite.com.

How we protect it

Information is encrypted in transit between the app and our servers. Team access is limited by role, requires a one-time code sent to the authorized email address, and is recorded. This is email-code sign-in, not multi-factor authentication. On phones, your sign-in session is kept in the device’s secure storage. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities where the law requires.

Your rights and choices

Download your data: Settings → My data gives you a file of the information we hold about you, including your profile, answers, your messages, your own responses and feedback, the introductions shown to you, your dates and your notification settings. It does not include other members’ responses or feedback, our internal notes or our matching scores; you can ask for those, subject to other people’s rights, by writing to anna@matchmakerselite.com.

Correct your data: you can change your photos in the app. Everything else — your profile details, questionnaire, interests and profile prompts — is changed by your matchmaker, so that your matching stays consistent. Just ask them.

Delete your account: Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is permanent and happens straight away, as described above. It does not by itself cancel your membership agreement.

Pause: Settings → Pause my account stops your matchmaking and signs you out.

Notifications and permissions: choose what reaches you in Settings → Notifications; turn off camera, microphone, photos, location or calendar access in your phone’s settings at any time. The app will keep working, though you may need to add information another way.

You can also ask us to tell you what information we hold and how we use it, to correct or delete it, or to stop using your sensitive information. Write to anna@matchmakerselite.com. We may need to confirm your identity. We will reply within 45 days, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Adults only

Matchmakers Elite is only for people aged 18 or over. We check date of birth when you apply and do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has applied, tell us at anna@matchmakerselite.com and we will delete their information.

Where your information is processed

Our application systems are hosted in the United States (Virginia), with private file storage through Cloudflare R2. Automated processing by OpenAI and DeepSeek is currently disabled.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If a change means using your information in a new way that needs your consent, we will ask first.
